I’ve begun to work on another tea-cup.
Today’s watercolour includes a new (to me) Mason jar. The jar is embossed with the words “Canadian Jewel”. As I continue my quest to preserve the flotsam and jetsam of life, I now have a place to put any Jewels I may find along the way.

I’m putting on the suits and ties for the upcoming show.
I sat those tulips from Wednesday’s post upright, put them in the requisite Mason jar, and am giving them another go.
I thought I had finished this piece last February. It’s been hanging around the studio since then; just kind of bugging me. I decided to go back into it and darken the upper portion of the background to push the central characters in the image a bit more forward. I think it works better now. Below is the before shot.
Today’s painting has gone through a few several variations as it slowly inches towards completion. The roses and the spheres were late to the party but seem to have found a home. Ah, miles to go before I sleep.
