
Last fall our island was hit with the remnants of Hurricane Fiona. It caused much damage to shorelines, cottages, and houses, but mostly it took down trees (which in turn damaged many other things). Today’s painting preserves one of the trees that was damaged, but managed to hold on to see another season.
I love this! It has a wonderful trompe d’oeil feeling. Beautiful colors, too.

Thanks so much. It’s easier to put one of our trees in a jar, then the ones you have in the northwest .
