My daughter was on a trip to Europe this spring, and among her adventures was a stop in Amsterdam. While she was there she picked up this beautiful etching from The Rembrandt Museum as a gift for me. I am one lucky art nerd!

Wonderful! You are! I was there too, but had only a day in Amsterdam. She must have told you about the big Rembrandt celebration going on all over the country….350 years….we saw an impressive exhibit of his self portraits, many of them etchings, at the Rijksmuseum. I’m kicking myself for not bringing home more little souvenirs. It’s not my thing, but I can see the value now that it’s all so far away. I did buy a small tile that’s very old and worn from an antiques store in Leiden. 🙂

I’m sure you have many beautiful images of your trip. They are better than a trinket any day. My daughter truly enjoyed her time in Amsterdam. She especially enjoyed the Van Gogh Museum.
