Mary Anning’s Tea Cup

At first I was going to title this piece “Suzy’s Tea Cup”. I was thinking of the seashells and the rhyme “She Sells Seashells”, and Suzy seemed a likely owner of this tea cup. I dd a little Google research and found that the rhyme may have been based on a real person, Mary Anning, so now it’s “Mary’s Cup”.

  1. Hi Andrew, I found your blog via a comment made by someone who follows you, I think, or some such roundabout way….anyway, I like this painting very much. It is whimsical and elegant, classic and modern, all at the same time.
