Today’s watercolour is from a few years ago. Nutcrackers have always had a presence around our home at Christmas. These toy soldiers have stood guard over our tree, and occasionally been a chew toy for our dog. They are cherished items and well worth preserving.

Lovely painting, & fun title! Yes, nutcrackers add a magical quality. In Lichfield city (UK), they have set up a nutcracker trail as a Christmas theme this year.
