We all have Knick-Knacks scattered around our homes. Some are trinkets we’ve picked up on a journey of one type or another, others are family heirlooms, some are downright mysterious (we just don’t know where they came from). The uncaring eye would classify these unnecessary items as junk. While the junk classification is for the most part true, I see these bits of life’s flotsam as being a kind of kindling for fond memories. Today’s painting is of a ceramic chicken that spent most of my childhood sitting on a small shelf beside the kitchen sink.
